This site was set up in 2008, to help people find Government consultations more easily, and to show that it could be done: quickly and easily. The site has never been funded as such, and has relied on volunteers for maintenance and support. It hasn't had much maintenance recently and this shows: some consultations can't be found and some functions don't work as they should. We are currently seeking funding for a new version of TellThemWhatYouThink.
In the meantime, you can search a limited number of departments for open consultations at the Directgov Consultation Finder.
All DH Consultation promotional activity was withdrawn due to Cabinet Office Guidance following the Election announcement on 6 April 2010. However, as a new Government was formed on 11 May 2010 this period has now ended. Therefore this consultation is being extended. The new closing date is 2 July 2010.
This consultation is seeking views from the public, from healthcare professionals and from other staff working in the NHS on new proposals that give patients a much greater choice of GP practice.
The consultation sets out the different options for organising healthcare for patients; and the potential implications of their choices if the current system of GP practice boundaries is removed.
It has been developed following a period of initial engagement with NHS colleagues, GPs, practice managers, and professional and patient groups.
The consultation commenced on 4 March 2010, and will close on 28 May 2010
