TellThemWhatYouThink doesn't work very well anymore

This site was set up in 2008, to help people find Government consultations more easily, and to show that it could be done: quickly and easily. The site has never been funded as such, and has relied on volunteers for maintenance and support. It hasn't had much maintenance recently and this shows: some consultations can't be found and some functions don't work as they should. We are currently seeking funding for a new version of TellThemWhatYouThink.

In the meantime, you can search a limited number of departments for open consultations at the Directgov Consultation Finder.

Consultation on Inspection of initial teacher education 2008-11

Consultation published by The Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted) View original »

A great deal is changing in schools, colleges and across the post-16 sector. Fresh thinking is needed about the qualities and standards required in the 21st century of the workforce within schools, colleges and other settings.

The Inspection of initial teacher education 2008-11 consultation document outlines our proposals for the inspections of initial teacher education from September 2008, and sets out views of how inspection needs to move forward if it is to continue to stimulate improvement in the teaching profession. Please read the proposals before giving your feedback in the consultation below.

Ofsted is committed to ensuring that all consultation processes are as open and transparent as possible. An overview of the results will be disseminated via a report to be published on the Ofsted, the TDA and Lifelong Learning UK websites, and will be discussed at dissemination conferences in July 2008.

Timeframe
