Consultation on the publication of children's homes inspection reports

We are considering whether or not we should publish children’s homes inspection reports on our website.
Publishing children's homes reports would give local authorities, parents and others easier access to information. It may also encourage homes to improve the service they provide. However, we are conscious of our need to protect the children and young people who live in children's homes.
The consultation seeks ideas on a number of areas, including:
- Should we take a different approach to publishing reports depending on the size of a home?
- What safeguarding issues will we need to consider?
We welcome your views on this important issue.
